So, in my opinion the proverb should be "fast and continuous wins the race ". It's my opinion, your opinion would be another.

          Most of us have listen a story named "A hare and a turtle". In that story a hare loose and turtle wins. But, create a situation there were not one turtle and not one hare. There was more than 3 hare and turtle. Then think who would win. If you think in this situation still turtle win then you might be wrong because all the hare would not do the same. And the possibility of winning hare would be a little. It might that another hare has faith of work continue. In this situation hare win.  So, by changing in time, condition this proverb should also be change.
